Glendale Summer Picnic

1st Annual Glendale Summer was a huge success!

It was held on Thursday August 16th 6:15-8PM

All Glendale families were invited to this event and we had a great turnout — over 300 people showed up!

Dinner was on us. We’ll be serving delicious sandwiches, fresh fruit and veggies, and ice cold bottled water.

There was music, outdoor games, inflatable jumpies, and the playground

This event was organized by the DOGS (Dads Of Great Students).  In an effort to set a good example for all of our kids, we want to emphasize the importance of an active lifestyle and healthy eating. Our hope is that the children left this event being fully reminded of how remaining active will lead to healthy bodies and happy hearts.

Allina Health provided us a grant to help fund this event. Allina has a program which promotes healthy and active lifestyles called “Neighborhood Health Connection”.  We submitted an application on behalf of Glendale and are pleased to say that our application was accepted. We are very grateful to Allina Health for this helping us fund this event. Also – thanks to the Savage Police and Fire Department for being there and representing the community.
